Question 1

What exactly is OppsRadar and what does it do?

Accepted Answer

OppsRadar is an opportunity discovery and alert radar designed specifically for Nigerian students, graduates, and young talent. We monitor over 100 trusted websites for scholarships, internships, fellowships, grants, competitions, and hackathons. Instead of spending hours hunting across websites or missing deadlines, you get verified opportunities delivered straight to your Telegram.

Question 2

Is OppsRadar really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our Free tier gives you full access to search and browse all opportunities on the website, share opportunities with friends, and receive our weekly curated Telegram digest. We also offer a Pro tier at ₦2,500/month for active applicants who want immediate 3-hour Telegram alerts and urgent deadline reminders.

Question 3

How do you prevent scams and fake listings?

Accepted Answer

We have a strict verification rule: we never link to unverified blogs, third-party agents, or portals that charge application fees. Every listing points directly to the verified official institution, company, or foundation.

Question 4

How do Telegram alerts work?

Accepted Answer

After you sign up on the site, you will receive a 1-click link to connect with our official Telegram bot (@OppsRadarBot). Whenever a new opportunity opens in your field or a deadline is approaching, the bot sends you a clean notification with the details and the direct link.

Question 5

Can I choose what kind of opportunities I receive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During signup, you select your field of study, current academic level, and the specific opportunity types you are interested in (e.g. only Tech Internships and Scholarships, or Grants and Fellowships).

Question 6

What can developers build with the OppsRadar API?

Accepted Answer

Anything that surfaces opportunities to students: a Telegram bot, a school portal widget, a Chrome extension, a WhatsApp digest, a career app — the data is yours to use under our API terms.
