Privacy Policy
OppsRadar helps Nigerian students and young professionals find scholarships, internships, fellowships, grants and other opportunities. This page explains what information we collect when you join our list, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you fill in the signup form, we collect:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Your field of study or profession
- Your education level
- The types of opportunities you are interested in
- The date and time you signed up
- If you choose to connect Telegram: your Telegram chat ID (we do not see your phone number)
We don't ask for your password, phone number, or full address. If you upgrade to Pro, your payments are securely processed by Paystack. We do not see or store your full card number; we only store a customer code provided by Paystack to verify your subscription.
How we use it
When you open an opportunity from our site or from a Telegram message, we add one to a count for that opportunity, so we can see which ones are useful. We do not record who clicked, and we do not use tracking cookies.
We use your information to build and send you opportunity updates that match your interests, and to understand who OppsRadar is for so we can improve it. OppsRadar is in an early stage, so we have not started sending regular emails yet. When we do, they will be about opportunities and OppsRadar, and every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
If you connect Telegram, we send you a weekly message with opportunities that match your interests. You can stop at any time by sending /stop to our bot, and you can also ask us to delete your details.
Where it is stored
Your signup details are stored in a database provided by Cloudflare, which also hosts this website. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address when you visit the site, as part of running its network and security services. We do not store your IP address in our signup records.
If you connect Telegram, messages are delivered through Telegram, which has its own privacy policy.How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them, or until we stop running the list.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent and ask us to stop contacting you. To do this, contact us using the details below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Children
If you are under 18, please get permission from a parent or guardian before signing up.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
